Company Information
Asset Reconstruction Company is essentially a specialist in dealing with bad or stressed loans. When banks or financial institutions have loans where borrowers are struggling to repay, those institutions can sell such stressed assets to an Asset Reconstruction Company. ARCIL then takes responsibility for trying to recover value from those loans through methods such as restructuring, negotiated settlements, enforcement of security and other resolution processes. So, unlike a normal bank that primarily creates loans, ARCIL operates on the other side of the cycle — it buys stressed financial assets and works to recover their value.
